Why We Do It
The imperative to reshape South Africa’s Entertainment industry is at a critical stage, with the unemployment rate increasing to 25.20 in the first quarter of 2014, a scenario largely unchanged since 2000.
Furthermore, South Africa has one of the lowest levels of well-developed financial independent Artists in the World, compared to countries such as USA and many others. For those South Africans who do manage to be in the entertainment industry, fewer than 20% leave behind a legacy while most that are upcoming are being abused.
Yet numerous individuals in Relationships/ Marriages, Schools, and Community at large are facing life-threatening challenges with no one willing to provide formal or informal support and a route to free their minds out of poverty and pain.
It is critical to making the fundamental foundational shift for the next generation who might face the same challenges in future. By creating new platforms, Strategic Plans and opportunities, Madiba Foundation (MF) has motion towards a brighter, more equitable future.
