Is a Leaving Testimony and Survivor of Life-threatening Challenge; after his FIRST precious Wedding Celebration his marriage existed for only three months. One month of being blessed with a child and two months of spouse being in a comma, admitted in Intensive Care Unite. When they celebrated their wedding the wife was pregnant with a baby girl who was born the following month after the celebration. The Second month after their Wedding Celebration his wife was admitted to ICU (Intensive Care Unite) for 62 days in a comma due to birth complications. Khomotso stood by the side of the wife’s bed for all those days without reporting to work, hoping that the wife will recover; unfortunately the wife passed away leaving him with a 3 months baby. Khomotso was stressed, traumatised and given up on life; he went through counselling classes which unfortunately never helped him. He later survived the trauma and pain of losing his spouse at an unexpected time (Honeymoon Stage).
Now he has happily married again; Khomotso has a great sense of humor, but takes his Life-threatening Challenge message very seriously.
Lived in a violent marriage for years. She was very naïve at first and really didn’t know people like him existed. He would kick her, slap her, push her, trip her over, throw things at her, stand on my feet, yell abuse, call her names like ‘social cripple’, punched her, the list goes on and on. In fact he would say to people that he couldn’t stand ‘wife bashers’. He would tell me that he didn’t want the child to play with so and SOS children because they were a bad influence. He tried to isolate them from all those who loved them and new people they met would go through character assassinations by him. Life was continuous hell, fear, and horror and he always blamed the child or me for his violence. Things got a lot worse towards the end. He would threaten to run us all off the road in the car and kill us. The violence became a daily occurrence if not several episodes a day.
Basically she coped by trying to keep him happy so he wouldn’t do these things to them. She believed for a long time that it was her fault or the child’s. She cried a lot when he wasn’t home. She lost all her belief in herself. She was totally isolated and spoke to no one about what was happening. She don’t think she really did cope except to hide it from the world and from herself. Nampusheng is a Survivor of Life-threatening Challenge – Abuse and ready to impact people’s lives positively.
